Calvin Harris forked out almost £80,000 on dancing animals for his Brits performance.
The Scottish DJ, 35, insisted on having a dancing crab and dragon made in time for the show, to echo those in his One Kiss video, despite only being on screen for a matter of minutes.
The creatures featured in his medley, which included appearances from Dua Lipa, 23, Sam Smith, 26, and Rag’N’Bone Man, 34, along with model Winnie Harlow, 24.
The extravagant performance also featured snow, raining rose petals, a forest, 100 dancers, a giant glitter ball, a mountain and pyrotechnics, sending the budget through the roof.
Calvin won his first two Brit Awards for British Single and British Producer despite receiving 16 nominations in the last decade.
